My 3 Pet Peeves.<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

First, let me ask a question.<\/p>\n

Do you cringe every time you see a period on the outside of a quotation mark?\u00a0 I do!<\/p>\n

This error is a glaring grammatical mistake that makes the reader feel like screaming, “STOP!” Nevertheless, this standard error is a red flag that indicates a bumpy road ahead.<\/p>\n

However, there are two exceptions to this rule.

Second, why is it so difficult to understand the difference between farther and further? Talking heads on television often get it wrong.<\/p>\n

Third, the dangling preposition at the final word in a sentence is a choice the author has to make. To dangle, or not to dangle?<\/p>\n
