\u00a0 \u00a0The Last weekend of February.<\/span><\/h3>\n

I paused to think about how fast this month moved along.<\/p>\n

Not only is February a shorter month, it’s also a fast-moving month.<\/p>\n

In addition, it was a month that brought a few nice surprises.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

*First_ I had a taste of Christmas in February – I received a sparkling Christmas card from\u00a0 Carrie Deleucourt. She lives in Paris, France. Carrie told me she heard that I loved to get real, hold-in-the-hand Christmas cards.\u00a0 Yes!\u00a0 I do love a card that has heft to it and that can be enjoyed for a very long time.\u00a0 The card she sent me is so beautiful and I will certainly cherish it. Thank you, Carrie, for this thoughtful gift!<\/p>\n

*Next_ I received a check in the mail from American Printing House for the Blind. The check was sent to me because my artwork won FIRST PLACE in the crafts division of the InSights21 exhibition. This is the 8th time my mixed-media fiber art was selected for exhibition at this show in Louisville, KY. I have won an award each of those times.<\/p>\n

Currently, I am preparing another piece of my art to send out in the few days for the 9th time to American Printing House for the Blind.\u00a0 This time, I chose something quite small and precious.\u00a0 Wish me good luck!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Finally, I share a short poem today.<\/p>\n

This is an ACROSTIC POEM.<\/p>\n

My poem describes the weather we are having here in western Pennsylvania as the seasons are transitioning from late winter towards early spring.\u00a0 As I write this article today, it is raining a lot. That is a good thing because I planted many spring flower bulbs in the fall.\u00a0 I can smile as I look out at the rain that I know is nourishing those bulbs and helping the roots to grow right now.<\/p>\n
