5-Star REVIEW at OnLine Book Club.

Lynda has created a beautiful collection of 130 little poems with themes from nature.

She learned at an early age about the wonders of nature growing up in rural western Pennsylvania.

“My father was a gardener, and many of my writings reflect childhood experiences that have stayed with me. Poems in this collection were gleaned from my memories over the decades and from the gardens I tend now. My hope is that you also will find some small pleasures in my little poems.”

~Lynda McKinney Lambert

Haiku Reflections on Life, Faith, and Nature

Reviewed in India on August 28, 2024

This book introduced me to a form of poetry called haiku. This book, a collection of haiku-style poems, is derived from the author’s intimate reflections on life from a Christian perspective. The author uses subtle elements of nature in her poetry to describe her feelings, which are lost, forgotten, or invisible. Faith in God guides her in every aspect of life. She writes poems in her peaceful prayer garden using the firsthand experience of nature. She finds joy every day when she is surrounded by vibrant elements of nature. This book, if read slowly and intentionally, will certainly touch you deeply. I recommend this book to everyone who reads poetry or wants to try one.

30 Wintry-Themed Poems –

In this new collection of thirty wintry-themed poems, Lynda shares her insight into the beautiful serenity and colors of nature in a way that others seldom see.  Her ability to articulate the unseen qualities of an entire season is remarkable.

The vitality of the seasons is still felt, seen, and heard. Lambert notices the colors and sounds that surround us.

~Russell Streur, editor Plum Tree Tavern and author of Fault Zones._
