Ste-by-step virtual photo tour of Lynda McKinney Lambert’s River Road Studio. Today, she shares how she plans a project and how it begins. Encrusted Bead Work takes weeks or months to make – patience is the key ingredient to success. Lynda has profound sight loss – only 8/200 acuity – her work is created with the help of an Acrobat CCTV. She cannot see the colors or tiny beads, needles and threads she is using. Before her sight loss she worked in painting for many years. She has transformed her ability to paint with brushed, into the unbelievable tiny and precise materials that she works with these days. She is an award winning artist and author who lives in the Village of Wurtemburg, in western PA. Her work has been exhibited world-wide in Europe, Japan, New Guinea and across the US.

Winter Wonderland #3 - In Process

Pennsylvania artist & author, Lynda McKinney Lambert, continues her virtual walking tours of her studio. This week, she shares a project she is working on in her fiber studio. Lynda’s fiber art and paintings have been in exhibitions world-wide, in personal and private collections, and in museum collections. She is a retired professor of fine arts and humanities, Geneva College, in western PA. Lynda has four books on Amazon currently. Her writings include poems, and thoughtful personal essays and non-fiction stories. Today she shows you the first 2 steps that she begins when she makes a work of fiber art. Illustrations – photos – and more.

the Week in Photos at River Road Studio – January 17-23, 2021.
Pennsylvania fiber artist and author take us on a photo tour of her studio in The Village of Wurtemburg, in western Pennsylvania.
This week she gives us a tour of some of the paintings on the walls of her studio. She also shows some work-in-progress in the studio. Lynda makes mixed-media fabric and bead worked talismans and wall hangings. to begin the New Year, she is working on a new series – Winter Wonderland . There will be three wall hangings in this series with a wintry theme. You can visit this blog each week to have a tour of her progress in creating art works, and to see her studio and surroundings. Lynda’s books are sold on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, a National Library Services (BARD). nd Smashwords. Her art work are exhibited in galleries and a variety of exhibitions in different locations.
